Anyone else have their voting eligibility challenged at the polls today?

As Im sure most of you are familiar with, an Ohio Federal court ruled that challengers were allowed to be stationed at the polls today. These challengers (one per poling station) were able to challenge any voter's right to cast a ballot by informing an election official prior to the authorization to vote being granted to the voter. The challenged voter had to furnish a picture ID along with a Social Security card, if they chose to have their's omitted from their license/state ID.

I live in a predominantly Republican area and thus, our challenger was a Democrat. I began asking qusetions about a write-in ballot when I was two slots away from going to the booth line. Once I had the situation explained to me, I went to tell them my name and address. As i was signing the book, the challenger approached the table and informed the lady that I would be his first challenge of the day. The records cleraly showed that I havent voted since the 2000 general election (when I voted for Bush). I took my authorization from the lady and just stood there to see what had happened. I was pretty firmly against having challengers at the polling places, due to the disuprtions they might cause. When the lady informed him that I couldnt be challenged because I had already been given my authorization, he began to argue with her. I simply went to the line for the booths (about 5 people long) and watched as she really told him off. After I voted, I kind of ripped into this guy as well. Called him a dimwit ****** and some other not nice things and left after the polling lady told me to control myself or shed call the cops. I felt pretty good after that. Challengers should not be allowed at the polling place, imo.

Anyone else have fun stories about eligibility challengers at your polling place?
