just kidding :) interesting thread by the way, here it is "kissing" between girls or between a girl and a guy, between 2 guys if it is family (at least me), otherwise "shake hands". I knew a girl from Lituania, in her country kissing is very rare and she was surprised coming in france, but she accustomed fast :) ...in fact it depends on the culture. |

| Depends on who it is and how well I know them. If it's a girl I've met a few times and who's company I enjoy, I will usually give them a hug. Good guy friends will get a hug, some will get the hand slap semi-hug where you don't really hug, but you do a half assed hug. Others get the hand shake only. Some girls get the side hug, which is also kind of half assed. I very rarely do the cheek kissing thing, but it depends on the girl and if she does it to me, I will likely follow suit. |

| i dunno about america not kissing? i always kiss my close girl friends on the cheek, sometimes my guy friends on the cheek too. my best guy friends kiss me on the head/forehead...and i always hug. if i met you that night i would hug you. maybe i'm just affectionate, but all my friends are like that too. maybe it's just a southern thing? |

I think it depends on the people you hang with. Most of my girl friends get cheek kisses and big hugs, and I hug alot of my closer guy friends too usually with a good handshake. |

With most of my buddies, it's just shaking hands.
The people I've met on TA are a mix, some shake hands, others give a hug, both guys and girls.
I think a lot depends on the person's background.
