Bush Supporters: Why do you Support Him?

I'm not happy with the results, but I'll admit Bush won. I'm not even especially looking to debate this, but I would just like to know why you support Bush so much other than that you believe he is strong against terrorism? The only other topics that I've seen come up are that Kerry was a weak candidate and in some areas there are moral issues that people support Bush on.
Considering the moral issues, like gay marriage, regard such a small fraction of the country, say Osama bin Laden never happened and someone like Barack Obama were the Democratic nominee: Would you still vote for Bush and specifically why? Thank you for your responses. |

| Any responses? Maybe I should rephrase this. If you supported Bush in 2000, prior to the war on terror, what did you like about him? |

| What many fail to understand is that it is useless to engage in this type of discussion. Of course opinions will be exchanged but that's it. The purpose of this thread, and of some others, is to challange the thoughts of Bush supporters and maybe end up insulting them along with the president. It's not new. Just move along. |

his optimism.
his values.
his honesty.
his conviction.
all that, and i'm not brainwashed. i'm old enough to see through the bull.
he's not wrong about Iraq.
this economy is kicking more ass ever.
you haven't lost your civil rights.
you are the one thats been mislead. the liberal agenda in this country wants a European model and was willing to say, do, and pay any amount of money to get it done.
they failed because they underestimated the people's values, not because they overestimated the liberal base. |

With all due respect, I don't believe someone is misled because they have concerns about healthcare, education, social security, worker's rights, the environment and numerous other issues.
My point for this thread was that shouldn't we be finding a way to improve upon these things in addition to protecting the country?
I don't think that these things should be classified by being liberal or conservative. |

concerns and desire to improve these things does not mean the government should be funding them. I think this is also a major concern of Republicans. Why should their tax dollars improve the life of someone who does not work?

Does it matter? or how does it concern you? should I have voted the same way as you?
Like I said, Don't Like America and what it stands for...pack your bags and head to Paris or TORA BORA.
The majority of the USA won't miss you |

I find this so depressing that the next leader of the Free World is determined because of these issues. I am not picking on you, I think it is obvious that these are the issues that brought out the "GOP Base" that won Bush the election. |
