This is a sad day in American politics. But what endows me with greater grief is the large amounts of stupidity that exists in Southern and Rural America.

I am ashamed to be apart of this country. This is truly a dark day for democracy and common sense.

As a result of the inanity of Americans I feel no need to debate or discuss issues of economics, legality, or foreign relations in this forum. Until a cultural and educational transformation occur in Southern and Rural America my discussions in the Political Forum on www.tranceaddicts.com are futile.

It was actually quite a good day for our democracy, as voters turned out in higher numbers than ever before to choose who will lead their country. However, democracy as we know it now is not something we should get too comfortable with.

Dave,
Just make sure that your strategy over the next 4 years is to make the North cessede from the South rather than bothering with transforming the South both culturally and educationally :p
And stop referring to yourself in the third person you elitist snob :D

Yea it'll be messed up for the people who wanted change, not for the people who didn't want change, but what can really be done. Bush won.

Personally, the last four year's of the presidency seemed to have gone alot slower than previous one's that I've been through. I don't know why, but that's the way it's been.

A big reason Democrat's feel the way they did last election, is they felt like they were robbed, but what can be said now?

Honestly it's ed up, because like other's, I wanted change, but I don't know man. I think it's a big part due to September 11 and etc. Hell, it could be another reason.

Anyway, like I said previously. This has been a close close close election down to the wire.. So Bush won, but hopefully he'll be humble about it and take some of the big issue's that have devided the country the way it is, understanding more now than ever. Also I hope he doesn't let his personal feeling's / beliefs get into the way that 50% of other American's feel about certain thing's.

What is so amazing is that people would vote against their economic interest in order to hear political rhetoric about moral values. Mr.Bush's actions are nothing less than immoral.

How is fighting a war in accord with the Christian faith? How is leaving the poor and elderly behind in America in accord with Christ? It isn’t. Not only are Americans misinformed about economic issues but they are also misinformed about their own religion. It is truely amazing how these stupid people make decisions.

By the way, I need to get back to reading my bible. I need to prepare for the next election :D

How is fighting a war NOT in accord with the Christian faith? How many people have been killed in the name of Christ now?

Face it. Some people are sheep. They will blindly follow anybody in any direction solely based on their faith, its a shame but its the truth.

Apparently moral values is all you need to be president, your performance in office is completely irrelevant

Jesus Christ was a massager of peace not war. Christ said when someone slaps your face you turn your cheek to allow them to slap your other cheek. The idea of defending yourself in battle is an inversion of all what Christ spoke of. The idea of an eye for an eye is one of Jewish tradition not Christian faith ( old testament vs.. new testament). Understanding this principle of what Christ spoke means you need to read the bible yourself, not expect Mr. Bush to tell inform you of the faith. Bush has hijacked Christianity just like Osoma hijacked the Muslim religion. Please show me how and why Christ would accept Bush's economic policy or his foreign policy.

I have read the bible and I understand the moral values that my faith encourages. This is why I believed Kerry was the best man.

How are these two things even related? Besides that, you've got even less of a chance of changing things by running away.
