here's my review finally, better late than never i guess...
first of all, it was great seeing everybody again! i really need to start coming to more shows, i forgot how much i missed everyone.
sander k = :eyes: :eyes: :eyes:
i have never seen the guy live before and i was never really into him too much, which is part of the reason i came out to see him spin. when he first came on i really wasnt that impressed. but man oh man, sander did an AWESOME job of pulling me into the set. he got me so into it that now i finally understand why everyone loves sander so much.
i was really suprised at how well the entire night went. sander was definantly way better than i expected. i also had never been to icon before so i was a bit iffy, but i actually quite liked the club. yes a bit small, but it was never packed so it wasnt a problem. very decent sound system too. the only thing i didnt like were the drink prices, but whatever, still way better than space.
the thing that i just loved the most about this night was the fact that i couldnt recognize any tracks really. i mean, i still knew the prodigy track (duh), but for the most part i think i had never really heard any of those tracks before. and to be honest, as singles most of the tracks really wouldnt appeal to me too much (like i wouldnt rock out to them at home). but sander made it sound SOOOOOOOO good. so now i finally understand sander's power, and i'll definantly be seeing more of him, thats for sure.
just to give you an idea of how big an impression sander made on me...for a good while i was considering going to the ATL show tonight too. i decided against it, mostly cuz i'm poor and i got work tomorrow. but still, i really wanted to go. lol.
so all in all, i had such a damn good night. awesome music, awesome atmosphere, awesome friends! i'd say this has definantly been one of the better nights i've been out recently. so thank you to EVERYBODY who made that so...
danny - first and foremost dude, you are for driving! without you i would of just been sitting on my ass instead of out having a badass time.
cynthia & greg - like i said on the ride to gville, i love you guys, you're the best and truly lifesavers for everything. :) i always have the best time when i'm around you guys. enjoy all the holden ;)
rizzo & kelly - good seeing you guys again. rizzo, i finally understand why sander means so much to you.
rachel & ryan - its been TOOOOO long since i've seen you guys. so glad we finally got the chance to hang out again.
ben - nice to finally meet ya bro. hopefully next time we chill you can show me those badass strings.
james - always good to see ya man. till next time.
and to everyone else that i saw but didnt really get a chance to talk to...i'm sure we'll meet again. ;)
