I'm listening to CD1 now.
Nice mix out of Ohmna. That track is hard to mix out of.
Trainwreck at 13:22? |

It wasnt a train wreck, Ohmna was done, the track skipped.
I can clean it up. |

Sick mix here:
09. Joy Kitikonti - Dirty Summer (Original Mix)
10. Astrid Suryanto - Holy Rainwater (Victor Calderone Vocal Remix)
I'm not familiar with Dirty Summer. Did you kill the turntable and then slammed in Holy Rainwater or was it a mix? |

Nah, what happens is, the Dirty Summer goes into a standard 4/4 tribally house beat after that breakdown and I mixed holy rainwater into it.
The same happens on the second mix, between Resonate and Electric House. |

| BTW, yes, its Holy Rainwater vs. Gone - for a good 2 minutes. ;) |

So you used mixmeister to mix this? How long did it take you to make the set?
I really liked the flow of the first CD. Good job. |

Once I had the tracks, not long, as Im listening to tracks I take mental notes as to what would sound good with them (i.e. the guitar in Flashdance and the guitar in Dirty Summer progress well... and If you pay attention to Sculptured and Back Into The Funk, they both have an incredibly similar melodic kick). But initially, I was working a completely different set and I wasnt liking the way it was going and completely changed it. Im a perfectionist to the fullest.
MixMeister is my learning tool, alot of DJs out there forgot the lost art of flow, Im trying to learn it. |
