HELP! -New PC! Everything works fine with the Edirol FA101 except Cubase SX3. Why...?

Just got a -hot Audio system...
It truly is da bomb.
dual xeon 3.2GHz processors,
2Gb RAM,
440Gb hard disk space.
The Firewire sound card is working great with Reason, EWQLSO, Rebirth, & Pro53.
But for some reason, I cannot get any sound out of Cubase...!
It's chaotic!
Every time I go to open Cubase (SX3), a dialog box pops up about "Pending connections" telling me that an "ASIO DIGI96 series" output (stereo left & right) is 'pending'.
Then when I click "OK" (or cancel!), another dialog box pops up telling me that "DirectMusic/Delta 1010 [Emulerat]" is not connected in the assigned port...
Now I've scoured the manual looking for solutions, and also have f**ked around with the 'Device set-up' a bit... but still don't know what the hell is going on...
If anyone has an idea how to fix this, any scrap of advice would be of great help!

I know I shouldn't be re[lying to my own posting...
But just if you have that programme & that soundcard, or if u have an idea what would cause a problem like that... Briefly writing a reply would REALLY help out...
