Trance with orchestral interludes

I did a search and not much came up... but I'm looking for suggestions on TRANCE SONGS containing purely orchestral interludes in the middle, from which the trance melodies are constructed. Not necessarily remixes of classical music, but tracks which contain orchestral (or fake/synth orchestral) breakdowns.
I'm talking about tracks like:
Sensation - The Anthem 2003
Cygnus X - The Orange Theme (Moonman's Orange Juice Mix)
Gouryella - Ligaya
The Dawnseekers - Gothic Dream
There are many others that I can't think of right now... I know Tiesto has done a few as well (Magik Journey comes to mind).
suggestions? |

samuel barber- adagio for strings [corsten mix]
and a fire & ice track...the name slips my mind atm. :D
some of those arrangements arent made by the artist like you think they are though. it was neither member of gouryella who made the string arrangement for ligaya. tiesto frequents a few different writers to compose his orchestral parts (or at least to help). |

Andy Hunter - GO! [Antillas Remix]
I've said this heaps of times but that remix has the best orchestral intro that I've heard in a trance track evarz! :toothless
EDIT: woops didnt read the "in the middle" bit.
Capetown - Phoenix Tears |

Well theoretically, anything older than 75 years after the composer dies is public domain... so anything older than 1900 or so is probably free to use. I'm assuming a lot of these tracks are tunes stolen from older works.
The orange theme is based SORTA on the movie theme from A Clockwork Orange... but the tune is changed around a little bit... it's not quite the same... I think (personal guess) it might have been to avoid copyright problems.
I think the Fire & Ice track ur thinking of is Souvenir De Chine which is actually a remake of an old Jean Michelle Jarre tune.
I'm thinking about mixing a set out of all this stuff... it would be very interesting to listen to. |

| Of course, who could forget Signum's remix of "Prosperity in a New World"... and there are tons of remixes of The Anthem, many of which are fantastic. |

I'll have to check the compilations out... playlist looks like a whole lot of classical remakes without much original stuff. Maybe all the orchestral stuff is like this, but I'm sure there's some that's more modern.
Damn trance producers... always stealing other people's melodies or getting somebody else to compose them (like Tiesto does).
Trance seems to be lacking interesting melodies and chord progressions. I guess the compositional aspects have kinda gone down in favour of technological aspects. |

OK this isn't trance, it's breaks, but this track is absolutely epic:
Rob D - Clubbed To Death.
I think it was used on the Matrix soundtrack.
Also check out Nickelson - Yin (solid Globe Mix). This samples the theme from "The Last Samurai". |

I love Ron Dougan's work... the stuff on the matrix soundtracks is actually quite nice (Juno Reactor and Paul Oakenfold are also on there...)
Clubbed to Death is kinda... idunno... overplayed. Nothing too exciting... only a 4-chord progression.
Yin (Solid Globe Mix) is an excellent track... heard it off an ASOT rip and loved it. Never new it was from a movie... |
