Anyone else out there have access to a neighbors wireless net. I have cable here, but I just turned on my laptop to do some work and it picked up someones wireless network...unprotected. I walked outside with it and it seemed the stronger singals were coming from across the street in the next subdivision....
Anyone else have a free gift such as this....

| at my old apartment i picked up 2 different signals so i wound up with free internet cable for a year -- at my new apt, i'm the one with the router so my neighbors could be stealing from me... |

| WPA-PSK is the key. (to all the tech-heads: i know, but it's better than WEP anyway :p) |

My neigbours even need a wire to find their way back home... :nervous:
I don't think I can expect a wireless network in the next few centuries... |

my girlfiend mooched off of her neighbor's wireless internet for about 4 months.... i think they might have found out though, cos they changed the name and password protected it.

| At my old apartment, I left my wireless router open and someone started stealing my connection, so I just set up the 128-bit key protection after several hours of headache and Windows XP wireless configuration, and it all works fine now. |
