Sander K @ The Mark, Atlanta 11/04/04 Review + Pics (pg. 2)

well, after listening to a LOT of sander recently, I thought I knew this guy's style - well, apparently there's a whole different side to him... I could only ID into nothing, and maybe 2 or 3 tracks i've heard, but dont know the names, but the remainder of his 3+hour set was unreal. The added lighting, added sound, co2 tanks, and siren installed for this party brought an absolutely amazing vibe to that little club, and Sander played his set to go along with that. At first, he seemed unsure as to what exactly the crowd wanted, but soon he settled into a groove that was absolutely killer... Deep, dark, banging progressive house - he had complete control over the crowd, who never knew what to expect next - other than we all had a feeling that we weren't going to stop dancing our asses off, hands in the air, ANY time soon. Please tell me that some of yall got some good pics of the crowd and lighting, because there were times when all of the lasers were on, the co2 was coming out, and the crowd was going absolutely BALLISTIC :crazy:
Absolutely WILD night of partying, made it even more special that we had so many TAs in attendence!! Thom and Genny, you guys are the BEST for surprising us like that!!! and Pete and your crew, great to see you again, I'm sure the drive down was worth your while (especially with the banging Digital Witchcraft sets before and after sander!) To everyone else - Scott, Leeann, Javi, Mario, Emil, Bobbi, Misha, Anna, Jack, Jay D - thanks for making this night so special! One of the nicest vibes I've ever felt in Atlanta, some of the best music I've ever heard - Sander you're welcome back anytime!!!
Hagen, you NEVER cease to amaze us... we know a LOT of hard work got put into this show, and we appreciate it! quite a service to our community to be giving us these kinds of partys. We all see very bright things in the future of maddhatterradio :)

OMFG BEST SET 2004!!! Sander owned me. No i didn't take but a little pictures. I wanted the night off heheh :) But the few I have are classic :)

Hell yah I did :) A girl's gotta hear her favorite jam atm. plus it's scott's favorite jam. and just seeing that look on his face and him hearing that made his night completely. So with that said, I only really did it so that my lovely boyfriend could die x1000000000000000 from him playing that.

Lets not forget the ovation you gave Sander as he was leaving the club Ta's...he really got a kick out of that.
He had a great time here and it was our best party to date.
I am hurting badly from the insane partying....will post more later!! |

Oh my god, I never danced so hard. My ears are still ringing. After all that hype, Sander was still absolutely amazing. I felt Sander was very cautious in the beginning. He was testing the crowd for a good hour before going more proggy. When he saw the crowded responded kindly he was more relaxed.
Memorable moments:
* When everyone suggested we go down to the dance floor and I protested because I wanted to wait for Sander. I think it was Jack who said, "Sander's right there." Haha, I think my cheering scared Sander.
* Blue Haze - Into Nothing (Bill Hamel's Last Time for 9 Vocal Mix)
* Pic with Sander
* Genny asking Sander to "please come back."
* Ovation outside the Mark for Sander.
Great partying with Tom & Genny (you guys rule!), Jack Emil, Bobby, Anna, Gavin, Mario, Javier, Steven, Misha, LeeAnn, Phil, Suzanne, Pete, Melba, Penny!!! I had a blast! I hope he comes back.
Great production Hagen! Best one to date!!! The cryo was awesome. Could have been a little bigger to fill the room with smoke but it's all good. |
