Ok... I really want to start getting into breakbeats. Im not all into the BBoy style, new school/disco or what not. I've heard some stuff before thats kinda like a trancy/progressive style. Can anyone recommend a goodsite or perhaps a producer or something to that effect? I have been looking but have not had much luck.
I think the world needs a good trance set with some breaks in there, but thats my opinions.. ;-):toothless

Lots of progressive tunes have breakbeat mixes or remixes of them.
Just browse around some record shops, i'm sure you'll find something.
Chable & Bonici - Ride has a breaks version, and there are a lot more. |

| You want breakbeats. Check out Fretwell(!!!!), luke chable, grayarea, starecase. These would work great in a melodic progressive set. |

the breaks version of ride in my opinion is much better than the original.. it keeps people guessing.. ride is so predictable....
lots of ferry stuff has breaks..but i agree with you wholeheartedly... 4 on the floor has its place, but breaks are so refreshing. |

| I'm a BIG fan of breaks, but mainly the ones that are breakbeat remixes of trance tracks, I got a decent amount, but still need more, thanks Mr.Mystery for that list, not notch stuff in there I'll have to check out. |

if you like it fast you should check out some of the stuff on john b's trance and bass. it was a mixmag promo around 2002 that featured alot of trance/dnb. at that time it looked to be massive but for some reason the style never took off which is a real shame.
