I am working on this Track right now and it is going really well. I followed some of the tutorials here on making lead sounds using the detuned 2nd oscillator for depth, works well. The only probelm is now I find lots of the leads coming from my synths are just to harsh. I am trying to make really pretty trance here and not looking for sounds that are this edgy.
I just don't understand why some sounds are harsh and others soft. It seems like everything with triangle or square waves is to harsh, while pure sine waves get the desired soft sound.
I have been listening to a bunch of trance recently and all the good lead sounds are pretty mellowly. |
