Do any of you know what Mercora is? Well if you don't I can tell you.
Mercora is a Free Access P2P Radio Network. You can broadcast your own radio station. You can let people listen to your station. There are many settings. You can make playlists, you can choose the song to broadcast. Its a very nice, neat program. I think you all should go try it out. The site is http://www.mercora.com . Let me know if you have any ?'s. I can answer them, i'm on the BETA team.

What is Mercora
Mercora is a person-to-person network that enables you to find, communicate and share interests with friends and family. Mercora has built a framework for sharing digital content using peer-to-peer technologies to directly connect you with your friends on the network. You do all these things through the simple interface of the Mercora applications.

Enjoy digital music with Mercora P2P Radio
Play your digital music, and webcast this music to others on the network legally (Mercora supports MP3 and WMA)
Discover new music by listening to high quality broadcasts of music by others on the network
How we legally do Webcasting
Share pictures with friends and family using Mercora P2P Pictures
Create albums and pictures on your local computer for friends to see
Decide which of your friends gets to see your various albums using privacy settings for each album
Create a network of friends and family and find new people who share your interests
Invite only the people you want to interact with
Make new friends with people who share your interests and hobbies
Communicate with friends and groups of friends interactively
Send and receive instant messages from friends and groups of friends
Interact with groups of people who share your interests through instant messages and discussion forums

| This is very nice. There are alot of features. The new feature that Mercora is working on is a internet control. You can do it just like shoutcast without the server :)... i think. I'll let you guys know. |

Give the guy a friggin break ffs. He's honestly trying to share a source of music that you s otherwise might not have known about.
What is the motivation for bashing ppl like this anyway? When I think about what must be going through some of your heads I imagine its something like
"lets all be bitter and sling at every person with a bit of youthful enthusiasm that comes here trying to share things that they think we might like."
This dude doesn't deserve all the grief he's getting from you people, sure there are stupid newbies around who we grow annoyed at, but just because people aren't familiar with our ways doesnt mean we have to piss on every new kid who likes our music. |
