distorted bass on my mixtape, the ground or the mixer?

| So I recorded the mix of my life, virtually no mistakes, i got real lucky on all of my mixes then when I hear the mixtape, the bass is distorted!!! I'm recording off a CD burner, and my CD burner is on the ground, and my speakers are too, and the speakers are vibrating the ground. could this be a reason? I put my speakers on top of some books to help absorb the DOOF. |

you bass lines prolly clipped out, which means your record output was to high...
Same thing has happened to me many times... |
