Hey guys, since you live in Montreal, could I ask some questions about that city plz?

Me and some friends are thinking on going there for thanksgiving (november 17-26) and i wanted to know first of all, how cold is in those days?

Which ones are the best clubs to go to party?

Are they 18+? or which is the legal age in canada?

And any other stuff you think a tourist should know!!
discojoe
yes it is cold...very cold there will probably be snow. Montreal has a great club scene though and yes it is 18+. Just look for St. Catharine street. Sona I think is their top club.. then maybe aria. I have also heard of a club called the dome. I dont know what reputation it has there.. someone told me they though it was trash but I could be wrong.. anyway hope this helps.

ARIA, sona, stereo(friday), xingci(whatever the spelling is)(on saturday) and Living on sunday(check the balancepromote.com site, they've got some good talent coming(global underground dj's))

Hey Kanos,

Sorry about the delay in responding, just I don't often do too much typing on the weekend :)
Montreal is most likely going to be cold, and I would definitely have to say that the odds are there will be snow on the ground, but now a days u never realy know ;)
Montreal has plenty of clubs, it al depends on what sound and atmoshpere you're looking for.
For after hours, as it was already mentioned, Sona, Aria, and there are a few others, but I really wouldn't be able to offer a reasonable reiview, considering that I have not been to them before.

For good information on after hour clubs check this page, all though it's all in french, select #2 at the top.

Hmmm, the dome... hehehehe....hahahaha...lol. All right, that place is a total joke, I've actualy had a good time there before, but it involved many bottles of hard alcohol, which pretty much means I could have had a good time anywhere!! They play main stream pop and hiphop, and let under age girls in. It's a well known spot for tourists though.
Check the websites I posted to see who's playing when you're coming into town, and I'm sure if you do searching on the net you'll be able to find reviews on Montreal clubs, just search for Montreal nightlife, or Montreal bars, and you should get some info.
Hope this helps

Delstar i thought i was the only one who was thinking crescent by night is full of drunk ass americans :)

and also avoid clubs like 7-37 or Vatican
delstar
ah man those clubs suck

central station, or even jet club is supposed to be good
TheRizzler
Central is pretty good, the last few times I've gone there it actually hasn't been that busy, but the dj usually spins pretty impressive house for a regular club.
Vatican or anything on crescent is good if you're drunk enough, but yes there are a lot of roudy drunk people looking to start fights. Jet is supposebly hiphop and packed tighter then Tiesto at sona!!
Jingxys had pretty descent music the few times I went there.
delstar

...a small club at corner of Rachel and St-Laurent (I think it's St-laurent)...
The club look's really nice IMO, it's small but it has his cachet. Kind of like the Well in Ottawa if you've ever been.

Anyways, my boy Brad Copeland (ottawa) is playing this friday from 12-3...you should check it out !!!

Del,
Jingxi Club : House. 410 Rachel Ouest corner of St-Denis
I can't remember who they had spinning on Fridays, but he was pretty good, and the crowd seemed really chill there, didn't find any attitude at all. It's a pretty small lounge place, but like I said, everytime I've gone there I've had a pretty good time, and heard some tunes that weren't cheddar pop electronic music.
