Hi guys,

have a weird problem with XP, dunno why but the status bar keeps disappearing in IE and things like Control Panel, any idea why and how can I make it stay in place?

also, my sister's login in XP has the ****ty Windows Explorer that you cant double click to open and double click to close folders but mine has the standard Windows Explorer when it was normal in Windows 2000, how can I update her account to have the same Windows Explorer as I do?

Hope you understand what I mean, the XP version is different to the win 2000 and I cant get it to revert back

Thanks!

Im not sure what your talking about with the double click to close.
But to change the single click to open do this:
open explorer
go tools->folder options
choose doubleclick to open an item (single click to select)
and click okay.

nevermind its sorted, thanks.

it was an issue with a thing XP had added to Windows Explorer called "Friendly Tree"....if you click a folder name it auto expands it, which is bloody annoying.....I've sorted it now, had to be switched in the registry :-)
