Annan -- Missing an Opportunity to Shut Up
By AlphaPatriot on United Nations
Kofi Annan says that a military response to the thousands of terrorists, many from outside Iraq and are currently concentrated in Fallujah, could destroy the chances for successful elections in the country next year.
Annan, who was Director of UN Peacekeeping in Rwanda when perhaps as many as one million people were slaughtered in 100 days;
Annan, whose administration oversaw the failure in East Timor and left in ignominy;
Annan, whose UN troops have stood impotently by and watched women get raped and children get slaughtered in the Congo for five years. Kosovo, Haiti, Sierra Leone, Mogadishu, Sudan, the now-infamous Oil for Palaces scandal -- it is difficult to find any successes in the litany of UN failures.
The United States, on the other hand, freed a nation that was little more than a collection of warring tribes and successfully held free elections -- a feat that the international community and the American left scoffed at a mere three years ago.The United States toppled a sadistic tyrant, freed a nation, established a constitutional government as is on schedule to hold free elections next January -- a feat that the international community and the American left scoffed at a mere two years ago.Yet with all his failures, Annan has the audacity to tell the United States that cleaning out a hotbed of terrorists that threaten to destabilize the entire Middle East is a bad idea.
Annan has the impudence to claim that the U.S. mission to bring al-Zarquawi, the most murderous human being alive and operating, to justice is a bad idea.Taking a look at the tactical situation, Annan says that terrorists should be left alive to operate out of a space this big: because taking them out will upset the apple cart and destabilize an area this big: See the red dot in the map above? That's Fallujah. That is the area from which al-Zarquawi and his murderous thugs conspire to kill American soldiers and threaten the burgeoning democracy in the heart of the Middle East. That is the area that Annan says we should stay out of because standing up to terrorists may have bad consequences (when have we heard that line before?).Can't quite locate it? Here, maybe this will help:Annan go quietly about his business of covering up monumental international graft and leave the foreign policy to those who will actually enforce it and get results....

For that little comment ..we should kick him and the UN out. He could go back to Africa. And run his third World nation. Get some power and then come back.I've never heard Koffi or the UN condemn terrorism. The only reason this organization is still around is to sponge off the US and its money. We should stop giving them $$, stop being the power behind their weak-ass resolutions, and evict their sorry butts off that prime NY land they squat on while they verbally attack and degrade our country.

| Oh will you shut up already. We all know that UN condemned the 9-11 attaks. You should try to find an article that is at least half-correct and unbiased. Your country is the one that founded the UN in the first place. Too bad Bush's diplomacy is too weak to use it. Stop spamming. |

| Do you remember that the case made to the U.N. regarding Iraq was that they still had illegal weapons programs. A resolution was passed by the U.N. and inspectors went in, but Bush pulled them out after all they had found were missiles that went a few miles too far that were being destroyed, just not fast enough for Bush's liking. There was never a second vote in the U.N. after this. Of course it would have been shot down, because there was no conclusive evidence presented that Saddam had WMDs or that he was an imminent threat. The case made was not that we should liberate the Iraqi people,that was the principle justification made after nothing was found. The fact is Bush was dead wrong, his evidence was primarily based on information from the Iraqi National Congress and Chalabi, a man more corrupt than the U.N. could ever be, who now conveniently we no longer deal with. If you truly believe in librating people, I suggest you start a thread regarding what should be done about the Sudan with the genocide that is happening right now and is a much bigger thereat to liberty than yelling about mass graves 10 years ago that occurred because George H.W. Bush didn't support the Iraqis who tried to rebel, even though he swore he would assist them. I can start threads by pasting annoying articles from shady sources about Bush being a coke addict justas easily as you make these tired spams. |
