--So I figured out that I'm not supposed to try and sell these in here, uh, can some1 kindly move it? It won't let me delete it, saying that I don't have permission, sigh.

I have two baby girl chinchillas for sale. I would prefer that they go together. $70/ea or $100/both. They are adorable, friendly, soft, and hilarious to watch. Chinchillas are great for people who are gone during the day and home at night because they are noctural animals. (They are usually awake periodically thru the day, but most active after 7pm.) All of their care needs can be found at most pets stores, Petsmart, or ordered via the web. A word of caution, cats and dogs usually scare chinchillas so it is not reccomended they go to a home with other loose animals. As you can see in the pictures they love raisins and will eat them off of your hands.

Here are some other pictures of the babies...

i have two male chinchillas silver mosaic "jaspa jones" and my white mosaic "piet blank"

how much would it be to ship the two females to ottawa ontario?? im interested.... my boys need some groupies!!!!....

They don't smell very bad but i do have to clean up their cage fairly often.

I have no idea how I would get chinchilla's all the way to Ontario safely. I definately wouldn't trust them in the hands of the US postal service. If you are familiar with a good way of transporting animals long distances I'll definately look into it. :)

I think chinchillas are classified as rodents. Their natural habitat is mountains on the South American continent if I remember right. It seems like their fur is grown to blend in with rocks and escape easily.

crisp do u have pics of your chinchillas?
colonelcrisp
they are actually classified as marsupials... and i do have some pics but ill have to wait to get home to post htme since im at skool
colonelcrisp
alright here they are, the production/dj duo that brought us such hits as nightfly, cream, and dj culture. the druids of rave..

PIET BLANK

and the one the only JASPA JONES

here is a cool pic i got of piet today when he was running around my room...

jaspa is harder to photograph, since he hates most things he cant hump and or eat... dont ask

he also will not have anything to do with humans unless they have raisins in large quatitites. if i stick some sunmaids in my palm he will walk around the house with me, if he runs out. he starts being a fuss... and if he really is in a mood. he tries to eat my finger....

how big is your chin cage?? i have one that is pretty much a 4 foot cube.. its massive, but it has like 6 levels to it, with a freak out box that is now half its height since the boyz like to eat it.......(i made it out of apple wood.... they really like apple wood..)

cheers

Awwww! Your chins are so cute! The cage I have for them right now is a 3 story (not sure on exact demensions)... and then I have another cage - one level - that's probably 3 ft long and 1 ft across that is connected to the other cage. If you are still interesting in getting the babies, you would need to get another cage b/c the females will get pregnant if they are together with the males obviously... and if that is your intent... they still need to be seperated after birth to prevent breed-back. How long have you had your chinchillas?

Do these animals literally like rabbits or how often do they use the restroom ?

i have had piet and jaspa for almost 3 years now. building another cage would not be a problem. im actually planning on building a wall mounted unit that i will build out of some old kitchen cabinets i have. ill put a nice wire mesh front in in and use the old drawer at teh bottom as a shavings pan. for the females i would put a trap door between the cages so that if i would like to breed them i can let them. i would love to breed them as i have freinds who would love chins. as for lytes questions. ya chins are little machines, but their poop doesnt smell at all and is verry similar to rabit pellets. i have read however that you can litter train chins like cats or dogs in which case you can leave the cage door open and let them run around. when they have to go they can go back inside. however i cant get my boys to do that for the life of me as i let them run the house one night and the little bastards wouldnt let me sleep. piet sat on my head all night and poked my nose so i would get up and play. then i spent the next mornigng vaccuming my carpet to get all the little pellets off. thank god they didnt piss on my carpet tho since their urine is pretty corrosive. but if you change the shavings regularely (once every 5 days or so) youll never smell anything.

where do you live exactly unworldly? i live in ottawa canada, and if your close enough i would consider driving down and meeting halfway or something like that. let me know.
