I "had" a car...

on friday night i totalled my 2002 honda accord, 4 door, full house, leather seats, 6 cylinder. the worst part the car belonged to my step dad. He is not angry with me just disapointed, but happy that i am alive. the paramedics who saw the car said that its a miracle i survived. the accident happened due to a number of reasons:

i had a long day at YORK ( 8-5)
after school i went to work from 6-9
Then my friends and i decided to go out.
On the way home my friend drove home because i was feeling tired.
But i decided to drive myself home the rest of the way, which is only 2 min from my house.
The seat was lowered into a comfortable position, and for some reason i turned of the stereo ( which i never do)
i was about 500 meter from my house when i must have dozed off, lost control of the vehicle. the last thing i remember was being woken up by the impact of the collision. The car is at the scrap yard and now i have to take the bus for the entire winter.

i just want to offer some advice anyone who feels tired or has had anything to drink, please do not drive. Or if you do, drive slowly ... theres a proverb that goes: its better to lose a minute in your life than your life in a minute. THANK YOU GOD

most of the time when the car looks totaled, and is, it looks worse than the type of injury that was supposed to happen to the person.

cars are naturally supposed to give and copmpress to an extreme degree for the disapation of energy, the car did its job, cause you are ok!
glad to hear that you walked away from this. the bus does suck, but atleast its cheaper:)

was the car at least paid up in full??

cos if not, ur gonna be making payments for the car now which u no longer have possesiion of which is gonna suck even more

the car was bought cash, but since we are new canada our insurance is through the roof ( $950 for 2 cars) so we only had third party on it (collision from another vehicle). Therefore the car will not be replaced.
That is why im so angry with myself for not having my friend drive me home or staying at his place. an expensive way to learn a life lesson i guess...

everyone drive safe, sometimes we forget how dangerous it really is.
especially with the winter season on our doorsteps.
