Hopefully this isn’t a really stupid question :D
Ok how can I record the song or sound I am playing when I use my midi Keyboard? Is this possible? Or do I have to manually program it in the key lane section of the sequencer??
Here is what I am doing.
1. I open Reason
2. Create an empty rack.
3. I than create a mixer 14:1
4. I than create a NN- XT Advanced Sampler
5. On the sampler I click on the [browse patch icon]
6. I go to the Orkester Sound Bank
7. Navigate to the Strings Folder
8. Cellos
9. I pick a cello
The Cello Sample loads on the Sampler.
Now using my mini keyboard I can play notes or a melody.
How can I record this?
Thanks for Your Help

How do you chain 2 14:2 mixing boards?
I made 2 separate reason documents so I could parse them together later.
When I copied the mixing board, the devices, and the sequencer tracks over, they didn't play.
I know the devices were giving the signal to the slave mixing board, I assume that the problem is that it's not connected to the master board.
the manual didn't tell me how to connect the master board to the copied slave boards...
oh, sorry for mooching off your topic, dave ;) |

I figured out how to record using the midi keyboard.
You hit record than you hit play. |

Just create a new document, add two mixers and you'll see how it's supposed to be done! |

the mixers looks the same, but now they're connected.
I don't see a difference...
I want to be able to take mixers and devices from different documents and combine them, or at least be able to copy devices over and have them recognized by the mixer |

You will see the difference if you look at the cable-connections behind the rack. The second mixer is slaved to the first mixer.
You want to copy devices from one reason-document to another document?
Well, just copy the device that you want to move over and then go to the document where the device should be copyed to and then paste it.
Then you need to route the cable, Reason will not autoroute the device for you. |
