| hey I have an idea... it would be great to create the cd-compilation "trance addict vol. 1". which trakcs would be in that cd? I tihink here in forums people should vote for the tracks, which they want to see in vl. 1. what do you think about it? |

| I think this would be a good idea, especially if all the tracks were chosen on a voting system and were all tracks made by amateur TAs. There are so many good tracks that come out of that forum and it would be a great way for the talent to get exposure. |

Something like that already exists. All TA produced tracks though...
Tranceaddicts Unite 1, 2 and 3, i think |

| It would be cool if some people would do mixes or so. Appearently we have a lot of different styles and genre's here than only trance. Would be nice if there was a possibility to release TA-mix-cd's or so from different members who handle different styles (from psy to prog. and from trance to hardtrance and so on). |

| The variety in genre would be too high. |

Not if we went to a voting system, then we'd be left with asot tracks.
I think it was Locke that said it would be oppression by the masses instead of oppression by the central authority. |

| I agree there are a lot of professional quality tracks coming out of the amateur producer forum. I know a few well known DJs have played some TA tracks and some of them regularly browse the forums here, so maybe something could be set up with one of them to mix an all-TA produced album, which could help give some of them the exposure they deserve. |

in essence, a great idea. but when we have so many people involved in picking tracks all that will happen is arguments, that's why when we did trancEaddicts unite, we had 1 person doing the mixing and the track selection, and people submitted their tracks if they wanted a chance of getting in.
so, basically what i am trying to say is, if it is going to happen, it needs to be one or two people deciding the tracks, otherwise it will just never happen because of arguments.
then there is cd burning issues, licensing issues and distribution issues... have you thought this through? :) |

I think this is the best idea. We should have a CD for each genre of music that there's an interest in, and get one or two people to mix the CD from all of the tunes produced by TA members. That way, everybody is satisfied, as there'd be a CD for everyone, with genres like breaks, progressive house, and hard trance.
Great stuff.

| Why don't we include, say, the top 12 tracks from the top 100 poll that was undertaken a month or two ago. |

cuz everybody has that cd already, or at least all of those tracks.
Those tranceaddicts unite sets are awesome, u should DL those. If we could make a compilation that got massive distribution and it had all TA tracks on it that would be very cool, I bet there are people that hang out here who are well connected enough to make something happen. |
