Lance Jordan (NY Love), one of our favorite DJ/producers in NYC, comes back for his second More` appearance! Jordan began producing in 1996 with several independent releases and the launch of Blue Nova Music. He studied music theory, jazz harmony, eastern and African drumming. In 1999 he lived in Germany for one year and produced Dark Sky, a full-length CD under the name Electronic Soul, which received great acclaim overseas and spawned his professional DJ career. He performed several sold out dates in The Academy in Hamburg and Kantine in Cologne Germany.
Upon returning to New York, Jordan launched a production company and recording studio producing for record labels including DreamWorks Records, Arista Records, Webster Hall Records, VP Records. At the beginning of 2004, Jordan along with John Creamer & Stephane K formed NY LOVE Recordings to showcase their original productions and collaborations.
"Last Night I Was Dreaming" featuring Dr. T on vocals, Jordan's latest release on NY LOVE is getting strong support from the likes of John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Sander Kleinenberg, Hernan Cattano, Randall Jones, Deep Dish and is becoming a world-wide anthem throughout Europe, North & South America, and Asia. Jordan continues to refine his craft as a multi-talented artist, producer and DJ, and is expanding his audience internationally. With a passion for creating music that moves the body and soul through rhythm, mood, melody and groove, Jordan is taking dance floors by storm around the world.
David Scuba also joins this weeks mayhem for his first More` Appearance! Scuba's passion for music goes beyond DJ’ing, guided by a career path that has placed him in the heart of the music industry. In 2001 he began consulting for the UK’s RMD Record Label as a Business Development / A&R representative. David signed talent such as Funky Junction and Astroglyde in addition to organizing and developing sub labels such as, N-Space in Ohio, Whole Beat Records in Denver. Within the past year David left RMD to pursue other ventures
Presently, Scuba is one of the co-founders of Timeless Groove Recordings, a UK based label. Watts, music distribution sums it all up by regarding their first release as one that “combines the techno sound of the Big Room NY feel, with an updated UK progressive house sound...”. In Summer 2003, TGR’s first release "Magic / Vertigo" received a lot of play and great feed back. The track has been supported and charted by artists such as The Low End Specialists and rocked this summer by Timo Mass, and Andrew Grant, Cirilo of DC-10.
This newly renovated cafe` / lounge has a comfortable and intimate atmosphere which has always proven to give us chilled out nights with good friends and great beats! This event will be held weekly and will showcase some of the top NYC local talent in a small room setting. This means no dress code, no big club drama, no long waits to get in, and NO COVER CHARGE.
