| Spectrasonics Atmosphere or Absynth 2 both have nice pads you can work with. |

one word
Atmosphere |
|
|
| Derivative |
| but pro-53 can make awesome pads! dont use the presets, modify a patch you like or build a patch from scratch. its the only way to make your pads truly fit in with the rest of your mix (course you might get lucky, load up a preset and it might just have a timbre which fits in your track with no extra work necessary. but dont count on it happening often). layer a couple of pro 53s and widen it in stereo and you can crank out some monster pads. same with vanguard. if you have vanguard use a combo of the 2 and you can get lush sounds. |

| Subtle |
| ehm... the preset on Pro 53... "Fat Bright Pad" is really supersaw pads sounding.. |
|
|
| State of Matter |
| The most supersaw sounding pad on the pro 53 is Intermodulate Pad. Just increase the cutoff a bit, I use them a lot slightly modified. I still complement them with a thicker, unison'd actual supersaw pad made from scratch but if you're just looking for a subtle jp8080 sound this pad is good. |

Hey good idea gonna try that with the pro-63,I saw a tutorial here of a guy telling how to make a cool pro-53 pad for trance but when I did set up the pro 53 like he did the sound was diferent than the pad in his track :(.

| Oblique Motion |
| i CANNOT believe no one has mentioned zeta absolutley essential for trance pads nothing comes close |
|
|
| Derivative |
| you gotta learn a new instrument though. and zeta is not exactly the easiest instrument to learn :\ i find it quite confusing cuz half of its features are hidden in tabs and buttons and menus. blargh. sounds great though i agree. |

Agreed 100% Atmosphere - Just playing with the basic sound library of over a 1000 patches is inspirational in itself.
Spectrasonics
With almost 4Gb of base sound data, I'm yet to even scratch the surface of this beast after more than a year.
Beautiful stuff. Wouldn't be without it.
