Headphone problems... I think ....

Not sure what happaned but its as if what is coming through my headphones isn't as clear as it used to be?? Any ideas what might be going on ?

hmmmm could be that the stylii is wearing and you are hearing that in the headphones.... Also, are you tables properly grounded? More than likely though its the stylii. Same thing happened to me a couple months ago and I could really tell in the headphones more than just over the speakers.

yeah it sounds like it'll probably be the styli. can you notice any difference in what's coming out of the speakers at all? if changing them doesn't work it could be (depending on the mixer's type and age) the mixer's cue signal dying. on my old numark mixer the cue signal lost its bass frequencies after a while, so the same could be happening with the mids or highs on yours, thus giving an unclear muffled sound.

Pionner djm-500 mixer and pioneer hdj-1000 headphones... any advice ?

im guessing the problem wasn't the stylii?
