There is a huge difference in price for me and I am wondering if the IBOOK will still be adaquate for production with reason and pro tools! Or which would be better suited for it.

Cheers! Your help is much appriceated!

Well, the screen of the 14" iBook is bigger but its actually the same resolution, so unless your eyes are really bad there's not much point in getting the 14" screen.

The models you mentioned have the same processor speed, RAM, and hard drive, but the PowerBook will be a little faster since it's a pro machine while the iBook is meant for consumers. The PowerBook also has a slightly better graphics card but that won't matter much for audio production.

You only need the SuperDrive if you're planning on burning DVDs, otherwise the Combo drive will play CDs/DVDs and burn CDs.

Otherwise they have basically the same ports and options, except the PowerBook has Bluetooth and an audio input port

There isn't a lot of advantages of the 12" PowerBook over the higher end 12" iBook. Personally I'd save up for the 15" PowerBook or get the 12" iBook and a kick ass desktop.
