I watch Jeopardy every night. It's the only show I watch on television anymore. Ken Jennings (the guy from Utah) is actually an English Major, but he's a Software Engineer by trade. That man is a fscking GENIUS. He seems to average about $32,000 EACH show, and has, so far, amassed about 2.3 million dollars - he recently broke the record for all-time game-show earnings EVER. Word has it tht he's supposed to go down soon...I don't know what I'll do after that! :nervous: |

yeah thats what was the word during the summer during the re-runs...
i havent had a chance to watch Jeopardy! in awhile, so is Jennings still on? |

Yes Jennings is still on. Due to leaked reports about when he went off, Jeopardy decided to air the college tournament now instead of the beginning of December. His grand total was somewhere around the 2.5 million range, so I think (hes sitting around 2.38 right now) that he will be going off either the first week after the tournament, or possibly the Monday after.
Im rather tired of Mr. Jennings, but you cant deny his amazing knowledge of trivia. I am certainly interested to see who finally knocks him from the champion's seat. |

i was getting tired of him before the show went on hiatus for the summer..
thing is, is someone going to beat him, or do you think they'll just say "ok enough, let other people win, get the hell off our stage" ? |

Someone does eventually beat him. Due to the rule changes made for Jeopardy about 2 years ago, theyre not allowed to impose any "term" limits for champions. They have to sign the contract, just as any contestant does, and if Jennings were forced off the show, Im sure some litigation would follow.
Rumors have been abound, but the one with most substance seems to have been a twenty something year old graduate student from the U of Iowa who eventually dethrones him. Again, this is just a rumor, but we should know before the end of this month. |

Jennings is an ass tho, but he is making his monies worth. apparently you cant appear on TV game shows more than 3 times on any different show - so he is doing well raking it in on just one.
bet he never gets on one again tho| |
