Why are so many of Armins fans insane?

pls explain.
good luck to him, hes a good dj and good at what he does, but it seems his fans are the most bezerk of the lot when compared with other top 10 djs
eg
tiesto - 1 not to much insanity
pvd - 2 a little bit
avb - NUMBER 3 NO NOT NUMBER 1, NOT THE MOST POPULAR DJ IN THE WORLD -insane
sasha - 4 not really
ferry - 5 a bit but its fun
cattaneo - 6 none
lawrence - 7 none
oakenfold - 8 not really
digweed - 9 yeah a bit

Just curious thats all, only saw him for the first time not that long ago, and yeah it was fun, but thats about it, a bit of fun.
maybe it is because he is a blonde - they always win the brownlow

Because armin is probably the most talented trance DJ out there right now. He's not as big a whore about playing his own tracks as PvD, Tiesto, or Ferry, has decent technical skills, and from what I've heard, always puts out pretty decent sets.
Couple that with the fact most trance listeners are very passionate [maybe overly-so] about trance, trance and nothing but trance, and you get a lot of hardcore insane 'armin is god' fans.
Other DJs on the list don't attract as much a following cuz they're better known in less underground circles. Tiesto, Ferry, and PvD have all put out top 40 hits in their day, so they make the top 10, because the less involved trance listener knows their name.
That's just my $0.02
Oh, BTW, don't bash the other DJs in that top 10, diggers, cattaneo are crazy good. Lest you get the verbal smackdown! J/K. |

well the reason he's deemed to have insane fans has probably more to do with him having visited melbourne more recently and more often than Tiesto and some of the other dj's on that list you've posted. He has awesome stage presence, is a great DJ and it's always a joy even just to watch him.
Tiesto overseas and locally has OMFGIDIE (or insane as you put it) fans but unfortunately we haven't had him down for a proper tour (Together NYE excluded) with just him alone, in recent times anyway. I'm sure if he did a 6 hour stint in Melbourne fairly soon, you will enjoy him just as much as Armin. :) |
