| Minidisc sounded cool to me before I got myself a cd writer, but I never got one. I could possibly use a portable one for recording unique sounds for my productions when I'm out and about, but is it really worth forking out money just for that? Probably not :) |

Getting a portable witha good mic would be ideal for recording in clubs and making your own illegal livesets, me thinks...:toothless |

Btw what do u mean with that "ty file format" trancoo ? |
LOL @ "ty file format" :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:
I was referring to the newer Sony MD's, the NetMD's, that don't support mp3's, they convert the files you want to put into it into it's own format (you can only choose low, medium or high quality). A friend of mine has one of em and he can only fit like 45-50 songs in a MD (in MEDIUM quality!!) when if they would be in mp3 they'd be waaaaaaaay more!! |

| Although I think that the MD is too expensive... it is very handy for studio's and stuff :) |

Mine's a Sharp.

I like it, its nice and small.
Only drawback is that the NetMD software doesn't work on my Mac, so I have to record everything in real time. Which is a bit of a pain in the arse. But I can't afford an Ipod, plus I like to record my DJ sets using the line in. |

| i never use mine anymore. i was always having problems exporting and importing tracks from the minidisc to and from my computer. mp3 cd's i think are still better even though they are big. they are much more versatile, and easier to make. |
