I guess I'm pro choice, I think that abortion should be available as a last resort. If having a baby's gonna up your life and put strain on you and your family, then why have it if there's an option not to.
If you make abortion illegal, women who want it badly enough would be willing to break the law, and that might mean going to back-street clinics who might not know what they're doing, isn't it better to have the option of getting it done in a safe environment by trained professionals? Outlawing abortion wouldn't make people stop wanting it.
I don't agree with all forms of abortion. For example if a girl gets raped and if found to be pregnant, then if she wants an abortion (understandably) she should get into the clinic and get it done fast before the baby actually starts to develop. But then there's partial-birth-abortion - when the baby's already well in development and labour is induced, then the baby is taken out and more or less stabbed by the doctor, now that I don't agree with. But I think that abortion is an option that should be kept open.
I know this wasn't meant to be a debate, but never mind :p |

u make a great point about abortion if it was illegal, i believe thats the reason it was legalized in the 70's if im not mistaken. |
