i forgot where this request got posted initially but i built something quite alot like it and transcribed the lead notes for the song using floops 4.5, 2 instances of vanguard, 1 instance of supersaw 06 (that free supersaw plugin that someone posted in here a few months back) and internal fruity FX as well as sony soundforge smooth/enhance (which you will of course need soundforge for. it doesnt make a huge difference to the sound though, although i used it to get rid of the harshness). if you got all those i can send the flp file to anyone who wants it (PM me) or if someone would be gracious enough to host it that would be awesome.
warning! its a complete cpu killer. a stack of 3 synths with a load of effects on them with high polyphony. just running it alone with nothing else slays my 1.6ghz pc. if you use it definitely consider bouncing the results lest your tune degenerate into jerky mouse pointers and windows system errors.
also, if anyone else has floops you can try to modify it so that it sounds more like the real deal. or you can just open the filter and you have a massive detuned saw wave pad/lead which you can use in your tunes. the rest of the tune has a killer bassline so id like to build that and i reckon it can be done easily with a combo of imposcar/albino/vanguard. |

yea i can send that to you too. about 350kb i think. lemmie know if you got space in your inbox and ill send it right over. also, ive revised the lead slightly - took of the delay 2 plug and used normal delays on all 3 parts as well tweaked the EQ and levels to get a better timbre. also, one thing i have to sort out is the fact that it touches over 0 dB - when i started making it i didnt bother adding dB meters and the speccy analyser and just dived in. my bad. ill sort that out tonight or tommorow.
(i think it actually sounds better when you open the filter cutoff a bit more - but its less like the original song if you do that. taking off the compresser also makes it alias loads but i like that. hmmmm fuzzy) |

| ive got a better version now. ill send ya that with the original sample. also got a soundclip of it @ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/katjunkiemusic.htm. the original lead has more of a gliding, smooth kind of quality to it. i cant seem to achieve that with just vanguard because everything that comes out of vanguard i feel is gritty or blurry. or both :\ might try layering or replaceing one of the vanguards with something else but my VSTi setup is a bit limited. if anyone else feels up to the job go right ahead. be interesting to see where this goes. |

sounds better than the flp ive got, because of the "smooth/enhance" and also that "SIR_1008" i guess :D
