Today is Veterans Day in America and the best way to celebrate the sacrifice our Soldiers is to watch Saving Private Ryan.
The first movie I saw that paints an accurate portrayal of war. |

yay for vetarans, i know i have a few in my family...
i'm so happy i didn't have work today either, just sitting at home not doing a damn thing exept eat, watch MTV and post on TA:) well i gotta grocery shop and clean here in a bit but oh well. |

yeah that movie honors the courage and sacrifice of those brave soldiers, but i think the best way to celebrate is to thank a veteran personally. |

The Longest Day is also another great D-Day movie. Based on the novel by Cornelius Ryan, it touches on everything gearing up to D-Day, the paratroopers landing behind the beaches just after midnight and the rendezvous of all the British, American, Canadian and Allied ships crossing the sea to Normandy.
Good movie :) |

Over a year and a half of owning the box set and i still haven't seen it in its entirety.. I only have the last 2 episodes remaining.. :(
But i've been watching the whole series with my dad, so i'm not going to watch it by myself, i have to wait till theres time for both of us to watch it together. |
