Digital or Analog - Whats Better?

i know for a fact im getting one of the two as i found great deals at my local shop for str8 100's (digital) and str8 90's (analog) and whats makes one better than the other? they seem almost the same?

LOL....yea you really like making turntable threads.
Anyway, I haven't ever seen or heard of the 90s, but the 100s will be better, its just a higher model, but when they say digital, its still analog, but that turntable has a line-out RCA output, so you could plug it straight into your pc, hifi or the Line-In on your mixer, can come on handy if you have many turntables, but is nothing to jump around about, but just go for the 100s then. |

| Its the same thing as the 100 except it only has a phono out and not a phono and line out. Theres no sound difference. Mixers have phono inputs so you don't really need a line output. |

| im just saying are they made with the same parts and quality as the 100s? i cant find anything about the 90s. seems like no one has them. but many have the 100s. |

Dude are you serious? What would you do if you ran out of toilet paper while you're taking a dump? Could you figure a way out or would you need to phone a friend for instructions?

So perhaps the line output is for audio gear that doesn't have a phono input. This would include most home receivers, your PC sound card, etc, etc, etc.

Exactly, only time it would come in handy is if you needed 4 decks hooked up to a 2 channell mixer, its a feature that 99% of the people with those decks probably won't use. |

this is a dj forum correct?
People come here to communicate, and ask for advice on many things...
Did you always know how a mixer worked?(since birth)
I bet the answer is no, and the only way you learn in through self education or being taught by someone the parts of a mixer. trance speeder is asking advice, and is getting it. Telling someone they don't common sense isn't advice. I can bet most people wouldn't even know the basics of a mixer, just keep that in mind.... |

common sense includes using the search button and trying to find the info for yourself. info about basic mixer features and line vs. phono, and "what turntable should i buy" are all available in old threads. these questions have been answered many many many times before. and to some of us who have been in this forum for a long time (years and such) it just gets old with noobs and "tranceaddict in training"s asking the same damn questions every other day.
we are not expecting everyone to know everything, that is obviously why this thread is here, but we do expect people to have some common sense and respect and try to find the info on their own, instead if us having to spoon feed it to you like a bunch of babies.
oh and BTW, same some money, grow some balls and buy some TECHS!!! |
