Not sure what year or what song was the first MP3 I downloaded but this one was one of the very first;
Lyrics were somewhere along the lines of .."We were in the dark" or..off Napster.
damn it now I have to go search in my MP3 back up! |

Lol i used Audiogalaxy back in the day. I cant remember what my first one was but it was a damn long time ago, circ. 97-98, and i used to download of ftp sites. |

no idea which track.
i remember it being audiogalaxy cause i remember you had to look for ones without the ? mark or use ftp instead and put in some password |

haha weird thread, but it got me thinking anyways...
My first MP3 downloads were all Nine Inch Nails, as at the time the unofficial NIN website was hosting ALL of their tracks. haha (hard to imagine that today) I remember reading the FAQ saying "what is an MP3", and I was so intrigued.
I ended up getting every single nin track ever (which I already owned on CD anyways) only to find that the record company finally got wind of the website and shut it down. What year? hmm probably around 96-97.
p.s halo 20 = nin reference, not the video game :) |

my first downloads were off napster but i have no idea what the hell they were. probably some hip hop. |
