so i walked into a store... (tiesto-related story)

specifically, virgin megastore in times square, specifically to buy desyn masiello's mix CD that just came out. i quickly picked out desyn's CD and i saw tiesto's parade of the athletes and thought, nah i'm not gonna get that. then i turn around and saw, "free slipmats with CD". needless to say i jumped on it and bought it... so now i have slipmats for my non-existent turntables...
in the cd sleeve, tiesto explains why he played only his stuff. apparently the athens olympic committee restricted him from using any vocals (to prevent misinterpreted words) and to play music that only he produced... so kinda interesting that the athens olympic committee were the ones to limit him. |

Those slipmats are alright, I guess. When you start playing vinyls on them, you've gotta make sure to keep the dust and lint off. It'll be visible due to the light color of the mats. |

damn olympic committe probably didn't want to pay any royalties to any other starving artists outs there...cheap bastards! |
