Saw Saw (heheh) the night it opened.

All the people saying it's a Seven wannabe are basically correct. Pretty gory, and it it throws in a lot of unnecessary plot twists IMO. That's all! I won't ruin it for you.

Whew, this year? Not much to pick from. I heard Ray was good. At the moment, the only film I can think of worth mentioning is Troy.

i wanna get super stoned and go and go see saw (heheh), i'm glad it's super gory! my kinda horror flick.

anyway, u should check out eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. i just rented it last weekend, great movie. i thougt it'd be hard to take jim carey seriously, but he was great. so was kate winslet. the only part i didn't like was when kirstin dunst was "stoned". acting was horrible...but it was just a small part. you can tell she's never smoked pot in real life, cuz she was acting too hard in that part.

you continued it girl.. now aint no stopping ! lol.. The M.G.M and Shame on a Nigga are great. each from their first and second album[their best] 3rd album 'The W' was good in its own way but still cant with Enter the Wu-Tang or Forever... their last album 'Iron Flag'[released in 02'] was dissapointing.. its just felt so rushed and honestly didnt think they needed to make another one so soon since The W came out in 2000. its funny cuz, only hip hop i listen to is oldschool stuff.. either classics or old wu stuff... none of these new cats actch my attention rarely.

i didnt think Saw was that gory. i was expecting a lot of body parts flying all over the place but was pretty disappointed. the gore level wasnt even comparable to House of 1000 Corpses.

best movie:
butterfly effect (but im not sure if it came out in 04 or 03)
Royal Exception
Napoleon Dynamite!! :toothless

*SAW spoilage*

I agree with that. I was expecting something sorta disturbing, but I know better not to get my hopes up. I wasn't really disturbed all that much at all - Seven is still, of course, a WAAAAY better movie. Saw was sorta ruined by the theatre-people, though. everyone started laughing at the end because of the acting - Cary Elwes (I think that's who played the Doctor) seemed really unbelievable to most people, I guess...He had that intense and goofy look in his eyes when he was talking. I just wanted to stand up in the theatre and shout out "the guy just sawed his own ing leg off, what's wrong with you people?! He's ing delerious so shut the up!"

People are such idiots.

Best movie of '04?

Didn't Dawn of the Dead come out in February of this year?

I know Hero was made a few years ago, but that was the best movie I saw released this year (in theatres).

The Incredibles was fairly damn entertaining as well! Go see it! ;)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for sure... Though I have not yet seen Collateral, so that might change.
