3d modeling problem

i wasnt sure were to put this thread so i figure the COR is as good a place as any
:D

i have studio max 6 and im having some trouble figuring out how to use the water reactor in the space warps menu?

i have made water using a plane and noise but i was curios on how this would look


the problem is that i cant get the thing to render out to see what its doing i have searched on the net and cant find a thing have any of ya had this problem before if so how did you fix it.

Maya is way to hard and complicated for me. 3ds max all the way! :D
(i have version 7 mwuhaha)

Umm, the hardest thing i ever modeled was a wine glass, so no help from me :sadgreen:

i never liked maya its a not as clean imho

you should make water with a block and adding noise. looks better imo.

just make it like 100 L X 100 W X 5 D and have 40 length and width segments and 5 height segments and add noise from there. ovbiously you dont need to follow my dimensions, but still. planes are . then again, you might as well just make it out of a nurbs surface... and maya is better:D
