What do you consider your best production?

So am curious, most of us been here for a while, and producing for a long while as well.

So am curious, what do you consider your best work, and i want to know from your point of view, so don't base your opnion on the feedback for example.

For me i have a weird feeling, am listening to my old stuff, like the Static blue remix or the Illuminate one, and i feel like the flow is so much better there than my new stuff, yes the productions are not so tight but i don't know they feel just better in my ears.

Maybe it's because it reminds me about the good old days when i was just starting, it sure felt good if you completed a tune regardless the feedback and i believe this feeling dissapears once you start to get better, then you just want your tracks to be liked and played out or even signed.

what about you?

i havent finished a song in a long time. but i agree. my older stuff is nowhere near as tight as the stuff im doing now. but back then i just saw a tune all the way through, regardless of whether i made a tonne of mistakes along the way. my newer stuff...you could say its better. but its never finished. so it never feels complete.

thx mate !!! :stongue:

(EDIT) listening to it at the moment, it had a good groove indeed. The beat/percussions was very decent imo, even if it all needed some EQing. I agree that its way under your producing level at the moment  but its so normal.

Since you seem to think that your new tracks have less flow/groove, why dont you come back to a more uplifting style like that remix of meening of ice. Could sound great now that ure very good at mixing ;) .

when i compose... when i feel i have no more idea in the song.. i'll leave it... n sometime if i feel satisfied...ok then that it...

but after producing n produce... n i went back to my old track that i am satisfied... i feel so "! is this what i do last time... it sound like hell" day by day i feel my song is better than last time.. n till now i cant figure out is it done/not...:D

so who can tell that our song is done or not??? IMO

i'd say my tracks get better each time.. not in terms of melody or general feeling, but in terms of production. my tracks used to be all muddy and stuff, which is not the case anymore..

what is strange though, is that a track i'm content with everybody seems to dislike, and a track i'm not at all satisfied with seems to do well.

you have no idea how hard am trying, after Furor and the Airborne remix i can't seem to make a decent bassline or a good synth for a melody.

even prog is letting me down, oh well one of these phases i suppose.

i have that also, Shades seemed to good for people, i wasn't 100% happy with it.

As for the production improvment, well it is obviously that you improve with each production, since you want to avoid errors for example wrong EQing or something.

(this is maybe a bit offtopic :whip: )

i have "phases", that can last "a few days" to more than a month, where i cant get out anything decent out of my work. in those "phases" im always trying to make things sounds better, i can spend something like 2 hours tweaking a kick or testing some percussions combinations. Ocasionally i come out with one half decent sound, but thats all.
during those phases i also have plenty of ideas for remixing tracks, new half decent melodies.

And then one day  i launch my program and i have TEH idea. and then after generally 2 to 4 days of intensive arrangement/mixing, i get at laaast a track done ;-).

so it seems that my productivity isnt constant at all, and i know its like that for many other producers. Its a bit sad because u've got the impression u're losing so much time
