Hey guys, I'm pretty new to all of this and for the longest time I was too scared to share a track of mine on here. Listening to some of the amazing talent coming out of this forum can be both intimidating and discouraging at times. But I figure what the hell will my tracks ever do just sitting on my hard drive right?

Here is the first real track I did. I had made a couple of tracks previous to this one but I never considered them to be that good. This track is a year old now and I've since made some more, which I'll share in the future. My goal was to make this track very driving. Listening to it now a year later, it does sound a little harsh but I still like it. I hope you like it too. Please feel free to let me know whatever you think. Thanks all!

very bizarre track, between goa and tech-trance, remind me some oldies from the 90's, the roots of trance. ;)
the work on the synth is good, but the percs need to be improve imo.
Sunquest
dont be afraid to post here ever ;)
if anything, u can just change ur name and adress and start a new life :P

ok well ur track is not so bad :D
nice bass, real fast and pumpy
one big thing, it takes u 4 minutes before u get to the main melody which isnt good :S
make it around 2-3 minutes is enough
synths need a little work, but damn when it all hits in i really like it !!!!
its very VERY yahel style, just like d-miurge said, very psy style :D
u got a nice style, just need a little mastering work but its pretty good already
so keep it up m8 ;)
post some more stuff :D
take care

I really like how, while the song is building up, you keep on feeling like you're getting into a more euphoric groove, but then the FX come in and remind you that you're listening to a dark/psy/prog song.

I'd play around with the percussion a little bit more. During your intro and Outro, they can be used to accent the differences between each section.

Nice track. Don't listen to Sunquest when he tells you that you should bring the melody in earlier. It's fine how it is ;) :p. Listen to him on everything else though.

Thanks for all your comments and feedback guys!! I really appreciate it! I love psy and I think its influences on me came out in the track without me really realizing it.

Hello. Like your track. It's dark in a kinda good way :)

Another question. Are u related to Sweden in some kind of way ? Your name Magnus is so typical Swedish! :)

Four Horsemen - Cool name!! :)
Hmm... Nice FXs and stuff here. But the track needs much more bass. And you should add the break earlier than 3.36?!?! Those first 3 and a half were boring. Hmm.. anyway, the melody you fade in during the break is good. But you've only used similar synths (short, plucking ones) in this tune. You should add some stabbing reverbed saw-synths. Overall - it's a good tune with a techy feel to it :)
Mane
very good track, very good bassline, kick could be stronger, melodie is good but could be better, keep it up :)

Hi moolow... No relation to Sweden. :) Magnus is just the name I chose to produce under as its also the name I've DJed under for the past couple of years here in Seattle.

Cool! It took awhile to get somewhere, but then again - I'm pretty impatient! :p Nice track! Unfortunately I can't judge on the sound as I only have a set of earplugs atm. Broke my Sennheiser HD500 last night! :whip:
I'd love to hear some of your newer tracks!
Cheers
