Well, the night started out that we almost didnt even make it to glow because sky damn near killed us while she was putting on lotion while driving and not watching the road. it looked like we were about to get off an exit really fast but we were sort of heading straight for the median doing 80mph. when i yelled at her she's like "oh i wasnt watching the road". thank god i was awake in the car for once, lol. When we got there, we actually found parking on the street for once - a PLUS. the first person we saw was jimmy in the car in front of us. we waited til almost 10, then jogged up to the club. my little legs were freeeeeeeeeeeeezing - anyone who saw my outfit knows why! it seemed like it took forever to get in but we got in, put up with hip hop for 45 minutes, and then finally made our way downstairs.
Pete opened with a nice warm-up set. I was thinking, oh everyone was wrong - its not going to be packed tonight. well, knock on wood, because by the end of pete's set the place was pretty packed. The proggy remix of No One on Earth you played was cool, havent heard that yet, and Intergalactic really put me in the mood. Oh yeah and Portishead - Roads. i still love that song. I dont think i stopped dancing all night since my feet hit the floor of the main room! I almost had a chance to meet a lot of people from the glow forum who said they either just joined or have been here forever but never post. Although i admit i cant remember most of your names, i'm glad i had the chance to meet you!
I was up front when i saw ferry walk right past me. And about 10 seconds later the crowd started chanting "Ferry Ferry!" (and "Gerald! Gerald! lol" <-- hehe) and i was totally amped for his set especially after his last set at avalon has been repeating in my car for awhile now. I have to say, that out of all the times I have seen ferry, this was by far my favorite set. There was no way you COULDNT dance to it. It was just one amazing song after another. Highlights of my night were when he played Above & Beyond - No One On Earth, Ferry Corsten - Sweet Sorrow, Ferry Corsten - I Love You, Marco V - Automanual, Young Parisians feat. Ben Lost - Jump The Next Train (Solarstone Remix), The Thrillseekers - Synaesthesia (Ferry Corsten Remix), Reflekt feat. Delline Bass - Need To Be Loved (The Thrillseekers Remix), and Ferry Corsten - Right of Way. I secretly wished he would have ended with something other than Rock Your Body and Punk, cuz i'm sick of those songs, but the way the crowd totally got into it, it was actually a fitting ending. And i cant wait to see the group TA/glow pic that he took at the end with us. :)
This was definitely one of my favorite nights at the new Glow so far. It was great that some of the younger crowd got to party with us again. You guys were definitely missed. I just wish the rest of the crew could have made it out -- Sergio, Brian, Ian, Joey, Lauren.... we missed you guys :( Oh one thing i have to say about the night -- the energy was unparalleled, it seemed like everyone was totally ing excited to be there for ferry.... but there was also an abundance of s who couldnt keep their hands to themselves there. Thank God for my glow boy protectors - Franco and Jose!
I've decided it will take up too much room and time if i had to give shoutouts to the many many people who i had a blast with last night. you know who you are so i'm gonna just say this: :grouphug: LAST NIGHT ROCKED HARDCORE!
hope to see some of you are markus on wednesday: jonathan, amanda, sammy, and whoever else isnt working!!
