Ok, so who in the area can tell me how long it would take to walk from The Marriot Springhill Suites (Old Montreal) to the Sun Life building downtown? Mapquest says it's about 2.2KM, the guy downstairs is telling me it'll take 20 minutes or so.
anyone anyone?
edit: incase anyone wants to help and isn't sure what hotel I'm referring to, it's this one Springhill Suites |

Dude, I'd rather stay in a Residence Inn. :) |

Really? That long, 2KM walk doesn't seem like 20 minutes, of course that map could be wrong. I'm trying to avoid taking a cab to/from work Mon-Wed. |

Nothing, I just prefer the larger rooms at the Residence Inn. Not a fan of the layout of this place compared to a standard Res. Inn. |

You must have got some different room that I usually get. I usually have a suite with king size bedroom area, a living room w/ couch, an office area and a kitchenette. In the summer I get a room with a terrace as well.
Ah well. Sorry for the recommendation. |

Oh I have all that. It's on the top floor overlooking the river, but the Residence Inn, their rooms are bigger, or I just prefer the layout, that's all. It's not bad, I just prefer the other. Had to try a Springhill Suites at some point. |

If I were here for fun, I'd cheap it and take the public transit, but since it's for work, I don't think so. I want something close where I can walk. So I moved hotels, I'm at the Novotel now. :) Nice 30" LCD TV in the room.
It was almost $7 cab fare this morning (not including a tip). |
