It's all crap :D

I think there is 100,000 votes altogether.

So if like 20% of INTHEMIX members in AUSTRALIA supported one Australia DJ, he'd make it into the top5.

It's all about the people who actually can be ed voting that counts.

:D

Oh well!

Yeah I know. We now officially have no DJs in the top 100. :(

Agreed that he hasn't earned a top 100 spot yet (probably not even a top 250 for that matter) but he's not as bad as you're making out. While a lot of people go on about how ordinary a DJ he is (especially compared to his productions) I've seen him play a number of times and have yet to hear him play a poor set. He doesn't play the sort of music that I really normally listen to these days (melodic prog and breaks) but even then I'm usually pleasantly suprised by what he plays out. Even liked the prog-breaks warm-up set he did for Sasha last time I saw him (and I usually hate prog-breaks). Nothing to blow me out of the water, but smooth mixing and nice track selection at least.

So I dunno. He's got a long way to go, but don't forget that he didn't even start spinning until a couple of years ago (I think?). He's not a bad DJ at all considering...

playing prog in the style that chable plays, is just about the hardest style there is to play - (maybe on a par with techno - for different reasons though) - it'll take a bit of time, but he'll work it out.

How come?
Light The Fuse
Because its serious, deep, melodic, cheeseless and very musical. And it has to please the crowd. He has to keep two different crowds happy, serious progressive obsessives and joe blo public.

Whereas Zabiela is doing the banging thing, dropping in massive rock tunes etc. and yet while I find him to be the king of awesome, it is a bit easier to do it that way (although the technical stuff, well thats not easy)

this is why Digweed is God to so many. He makes it work.
