Good morning,
hmmm right now I'm restricted to my MIDI patch bank
but I'm eventually looking into some sample CDs
I've put a list of the ones that I'm thinking about getting (eventually)
at the end of this message
My QUESTION is this:
often times many sample CDs are released with different versions taylored to a specific format (GIGA, HALion, ACID etc)
What bit depts and sample rates are typical for:
GIGAstudio, AKAI & ACID
are these typically set for 24bit 96khz recording or is the
extra money simply to have a CD taylored to a popular sample format.
The only reason that I would buy a CD not in WAV or CD-audio is for the higher sample rates, I wouldn't want to pay $175 for a giga CD and have the rates still be at 16/44 when I could've paid $100 for the same disk, but in a different format.
WAV and CD AUdio I'm assuming are 16/44
Thank you for your time,
--Joshua
