I just watched this movie for the first time last night...and wow. Cinematography was amazing, Acting was amazing, and the soundtrack fit the movie perfectly.
Took you inside of the psyche of the football players..pretty sweet. |

| good movie, but i would recommend the TV show "Playmakers" in addition to it. Something else where you get into the mind of the players. :) |

| I quite agree. Rarely talked about when mentioning the best sports movies of all time, but Al Pacino, Jamie Fox, Bill Bellamy, the White Quarterback with the back spasms, the whore owner...all wonderfully cast (imo) and play their roles to perfection. There were alot of time when this movie couldve gone to total because of the writing or the film work, but the actors picked up the slack where it was weak. Especially powerful for me, as my team moved towns in what was essentially a secret jump ( You Art Modell). Easily one of my top 3 or 4 sports movies of all time. |

bleh...if you want to see Pacino act well you could do much better than this. or any of the other actors in the flick...another bloated Oliver Stone project.
they coulda cut about 1/3 of the movie out and it would still be as average as it is| |
