thought i'd make a new thread.......

Because of his unusual all out personality, his artistic side is often slept on... first of all his style is unmatched, unheard of before and gotta say is the most unique and innovative the hip hop world has seen... his off beat-half rhyme, half singing flow with smart word play always had u guessin on every track he appeared on.... ive been a hardcore wu tang fan for 10yrs and Dirty remains one of my fav. members of the clan.. 2 others being GZA and RZA which happens to be Dirty's cousin.. they formed a group before Wu-Tang called 'All In Together Now' crew... they used to go around NY battling other crews while RZA shaped up his producing skills[first learning how to DJ from Dirty..] and the 3 would eventually form the Wu-Tang Clan......

not only a rapper, dirty had a great singing abilities as well.. often not so serious or following the traditional way of singing, he put his own twist and humor when he sang by stretching the note way more than it was need to... if you listen to his 2 official albums he put out on Elektra, this is clear to see.. he remade a Rick James classic, 'Cold Blooded' and sang duet with Lil Mo on 'Good Morning Heartache'.... ive found out hes collaborated on a song with Macy Gray as well which will probably on his album on Rocafella....

i was deeply saddened by this news yesterday especially because i was JUST at the Wu-Tang concert on friday and was sorta bummed that Dirty was absent from the clan... everybody chanted 'ODB ODB' during the show hoping we'd get a chance to see him... sadly towards the end of the show, Method Man announced that Dirty could not make it and told us "If we see ODB, tell him that his family[The Wu] loves him and needs him..." according to mtv news, Dirty arrived in NY late from his flight from Denver landing @ 10:30pm.. having missed[or late] to the Wu-Tang concert, he went to the wu-tang studio where he collapsed saturday afternoon...

much love and respect to one of my fav. members of my fav. hip hop group of all time, WTC....the wu will never be the same without its missing link but hope this inspires them a bit more to keep on reppin and pushing the underground hip hop movement...
R.I.P. O.D.B.

checkout his debut and sophomore albums highly recommended by yours truly... very entertaining and fun to listen to.. and if you pay attention to what he's really saying, the man has a message.
