The functioning of any forum based website is solely dependent on its posting members. End of story. We are MORE IMPORTANT than you. Not the other way around. We are the blood that gives this place life. We are the ones who can't be easily replaced.
You've clearly stated that we have NO VOICE in the moderating of these boards. You've also closed a thread that discussed our voice to illustrate that point.
The point of moderating these forums is to provide an environment that works for US. Our voice is the most important. If you or any of the other mods do not realize that, then you should be replaced with people who do.
We are ALL accountable to each other. |

I totally support (most of) the current mods, who I think do a good job of keeping the forums under control while allowing freedom of speech to have its place. Additionally, the mods already are currently accountable to Swamper. I see no need to get rid of all the mods in a broad sweeping change.
Is this because a mod closed one of your threads? |

please, don't waste your time like this.
i do not think i am the ing daddy, if i did i would be deleting this thread right now. how you can even nearly draw that conclusion from reading my posts APART from that one is beyond me.
we realise that we have to make an environment for ALL (please read the emphasis on the word "all") users that works. but this is not an environment in which users can freely take a personal attack at another user (not to mention permanantly doing such a thing), and its also not an environment in which a minor number of members can 'petition' for a suspended user to be unsuspended.
edit: before you start calling me a nazi or some other -arse name, please note that it was not me who closed this thread.
and no, don't make a thread about this thread. i am getting tired of it. |

Just to add to Jay's post,
there is not that many rules on these forums but one we will enforce is 'no personal attacks'.
vivid boy knows these rules, has been banned before for it and if he cant learn he will continue to be banned.
his suspension as already pointed out is not just for those threads mentioned but for a repeated history of the same offence, we try to be flexible but Eric just stepped over the line once too often.
He will be back shortly
