Audiophile.. un-doubtably..

The audigy isn't a proffesional quality card.. not only will it not sound as good but it generates a lot of noise..

maybe u should look at the Juli@ by ESI same price range and in reviews it gets better results..check it out www.esi-pro.com

the cards themselves are built for 2 totally differnt applications. the drivers for the audigy 2 are TERRIBLE... but if i were you i would buy the Echo MIA MIDI...

I have both an Audiophile and a delta 410 and I love them both.
Very clean mixdown and very low latency.
The creative is a toy, It`s for gamers. If you really want to get in to producing, go for the audiophile. You WILL thank yourself for it later on.

btw: As was said before, the audiophile is great but you should check out other cards in the same price range.

very much so, but i am so enticed by the bay thing, it would make things 200% easier for me.

does anyone have any experience using the terratec card? any known issues?

I have it and love it, BUT the drivers on it are absolutely terrible. Every time I fire up Reason it tells me it can't find my drivers. Then I go to the settings to put the audio output to "no audio" and back to the terratec drivers again after which they work normally again. Weird. Also, when I have Reason open WinAmp won't play anything, it just complains about bad drivers.

Sometimes the sound just randomly dies and I have to reboot. Sometimes the sound turns to high piercing noise (REALLY "fun" when you're working on headphones and have them turned up really loud :whip: ).

It's a really great card... shame the drivers aren't.

most cards do this, but its a default in the drivers. i'm not sure if you can change it w/ your card but on most others you can.
