I like the vocal fx.
To me, this makes a nice laid back or ambient piece.
I think some of the drums should pan independently and some should just stay put. all of them panning at once in unison is kind of unsettling.
Sun--rise - I'm going to have that stuck in my head for a while.
good job. :) |

thanks, its kinda ambient filler trance, i agree.
as far as the panning of the drums, i dont know what happened, i 'm at work and cant listen now, but when i get home i'll take a listen and see whats up and repost. i routed the percussion through separate compression before my mixdown and maybe i plugged in an LFO into my normalizer or something. i didnt notice any problems, but maybe i didnt listen to the mp3 conversion of the master and maybe something happened there. how embarassing! |

hmm, i'm not sure i hear the panning of the drums. maybe my sound card is screwy or something...
anyone else notice that? |

nice tune man, everything flows really well. i love the long saw notes that build up. i really love the other synth that builds up from around 2:30, did you make that sound with a gate, lfo or just individual notes?
i could only hear the open hat panning, the rest appear to do their slow pan thing, the snare rims have a faster pan, the kick + clap is centered. i quite liked the percussion doing it's stuff.
haha Sun--rise ... yep i'll be singing that as well for a while to come :) |

thanks pho mo, the "other synth" is bar notes on a PWM sample with a 1/64 resolution control arp controlling the level. every other note in the first 1/2 of the bar is at 0 level (the second 1/2 of every 32nd interval is cut off). in the second half every other other note increases above the normal level. (the second 1/2 of every 32nd note gets louder).
thanks for the feedback! |
