I was wondering if there are some specifik sites on how to find work in the US or Canada... (short term)
I mean, I'm from Belgium and would enjoy a year orso working in another country outside the EU.
If any1 has some suggestion, please tell me ;-)

Search on Google for jobs where you might want to specifically work (e.g. "Denver jobs," or "Montreal Jobs").
Usually the local newspapers have jobs sections.
Craig List is also great as noted above for not just jobs but also apartments and rooms to rent.
This site tells you how to get a work permit:

Good luck. |

| Just buy a ticket, fly to America and sell your ass at Neverland. Should give you enough money from the law suit afterwards, and on top of that, free access to the theme park while you're 'on duty'. |

| it depends where you want to find work. you can always just go to restaurants local to you and apply for stuff. and if you cant get a work permit you can always work on a farm with the migrant workers. |

yeah but doesnt he have dual citzenship? my bf is belgian and he works here but he has the greencard and everything. from what i hear, work visas are a bitch. unless you want to work under the table, you need to find a company to sponsor you. |

Do you have citizenship in the US or Canada? If not you need to look into that first (Green card...work visa). A year is not short term to them and there is a lot of red tape to go through in order to move to the US to work. Companies have to file with the government so you would need to be authorized to work. I am assuming that you already know all of this. ;)
It's one thing to visit for pleasure, but it's another to work a job in which you would get paid. Unless you want to volunteer your time! :gsmile:
