For the first time in their career, U.K. electronic artists Way Out West (WOW) will grace stages across North America with a full band line-up on the support tour for their new album 'Don't Look Now', released earlier this month on Distinct’ive Records. The tour will international DJs Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff on keyboards along with Way Out West’s newest member Omi on vocals and along with drummer Damon Reece (Spiritualized, Massive Attack, Echo & The Bunnymen) and bassist Joe Allen (Roni Size, Alison Moyet).

Way Out West are the originators of the breakbeat/progressive/trance fusion style that pushed the proverbial envelope in the EDM dance world. They were the predecessors to artists like Hybrid, but because WOW's two members both had successful solo careers (as Nick Warren and Jody W), the notion of seeing a "LIVE" Way Out West performance remained more of a dream than a reality to most fans. Well it's time to wake up. For the first time ever, Nick Warren and Jody W will unite for an on-stage performance as Way Out West at Cubik.
Aphrodite got his name from the label he founded in the early 90s just as hardcore rave was evolving into early jungle and d 'n' b. With partner Mickey Finn, the two released jump-up anthems throughout the 90s as Urban Takeover. The distinctive basslines and clever use of hip-hop and ragga samples in their music increased their popularity with people who normally didn't get into drum 'n' bass.

i'm psyched as hell to see this show. its a FULLY live EDM show. they have like an 8-piece band or some . and Way Out West were some of my favorite producers back in the day. gonna be hot.
