bought it last year hoping its a nice "DJM600" , well .. it didnt exactly was like it...actually theres nothing to compare between them (except maybe they looks the same in first sight....)
anyway, few months and i sold it to one guy and bought a brand new real djm600 :)
conclusion
save money for the real thing, dont go cheap |

a couple of things. just my humble opinion of course.
1) NEVER buy any equipment without trying it first. something can have great specs on paper but you may hate it in operation - the way its laid out or the 'feel' of it. its important to get the feel right because you are gonna be using this for a long time. it has to feel right. if it doesnt. dont buy it. it will only get worse having to work with something for long periods of time that you find is is confusing, illogical, difficult to use or simply if you just plain dont like it.
2) DJ mixer effects will never sound as good as dedicated external effects units. period. dont expect lexicon reverbs especially from...
3) a 5 channel mixer with effects for 200 dollars. nuff said. there are 2 ways you can take this that dont really require that much knowledge of business and consumerism. 200 dollars is peanuts for what you get here. but. by extension, if they provide this many features for peanuts you should know something is up. if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is. which is why you should tatoo point 1 on the inside of your eyelids so you can soak it up in your sleep every minute of every night and every time you blink during the day.
4) those behringer guys were honest in their reply. i respect that. they didnt try to fucck you over or fob you off with excuses or mislead you. and best of all, they didnt try to sell you one of their more expensive mixers. i had experience with several tech support staff that are more salesmen than technicians. you will now never make the same mistake again. |

I plan to sell my 700 soon, its been layin in the corner of my room collecting dust with a PMX60 mixer and some classy XL500 decks.:haha:

Do you know if something like the Behringer UB1832FX-Pro would have adequate effects? I'm sure it's by far not the best, but I'm just looking for something servicible for a bedroom DJ and house party setup that would be under $300 U.S., as I'm on a budget since I'm upgrading my turntables. Thanks. |

| Are all Behringer products that bad? I've been hearing problems with this particular mixer, but I have heard raving reviews on some of their other products, such as their power amps. |

| The Behringer mixing console that we use at our radio station is utter crap. When I connect my DJM-600 to one of the inputsusing RCA to single stereo 1/4" the sound on a certain turntable is all messed up. When I insert the jack halfway or semi-halfway, it sounds fine. Other times I would lose sound on one of the TT's altogether. |

| i own one of these piece of s too CAN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF IT. The faders are starting to die on me already and its only been 1 year with very limited use. No matter whut anyone tells you, the sound quality on this thing is absolute . end of story. i would have rather spent big money on a high end mixer than deal with this piece of crap which will prolly get replaced anyhow. big waste of 200 dollars. Mixer is the one place where you should not skimp out on. |
